San Mateo already has a culture. It’s in the murals nobody photographs, the restaurant that became a ritual, the musician playing to twenty people who will remember it forever. The city is alive with this — most people just don’t have a lens for it.
Aragonia is that lens. An art-first overlay on the city — a way of seeing San Mateo through the eyes of the people who make it worth living in. Not a guide. Not a review site. A living archive, built by natives and discovered by visitors, that shows you what this place actually is beneath the surface.
Every entry in the archive is a coordinate. A maker, a photograph, an object, a moment — something that proves the city is more interesting than anyone gives it credit for. Filed by someone who was there. Vouched for by someone who knows.
